Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. They was moved to Oxfordshire when she was five where she attended the Dragon School. Emma's dream was to become an actor. As a young girl of 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes for acting, singing and dance. She had already performed in numerous Stagecoach as well as school plays when she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Emma was discovered by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having 8 consecutive auditions. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The film beat all previous records on the opening weekend and sales, and it was the most-recorded 2001 movie. It was highly acclaimed by critics, as were the performances of its three new starlets. The Daily Telegraph, a popular British newspaper, was awed by her for her performance. Emma later won five awards in recognition of her work in the film.
